Job description:For a project opening in Guinea, we are looking for a QHSE Manager.
Reporting to the Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:
o Set up a QHSE team.
o Establish & maintain QHSE processes & controls with regards to construction and services (maintenance/waste management/ entertainment), in line with Universal Sodexho's and our Client's policies.
o Identify and draft HSE initiatives with the focus on execution and KPIs.
o Conduct regular inspections on sites, and coordinate and support incident investigations of local incidents, providing recommendations and corrective actions where required.
o Support the operations team in delivering a continual improvement culture with the goal of zero injuries or serious incidents.
o Ensure that a pro-active safety culture is communicated amongst all personnel and train staff on QHSE issues (induction, toolbox talks, training)
o Continual review of HSE legislation, and advice to management on new issues.
o Collate and report project QHSE statistics and KPIs.
Profile:
To succeed in this role you will need :
- Health -Safety-Environment degree or equivalent.
- Fluent English. French would be an advantage.
- 3 years experience in HSE
- International experience, preferably in Africa.
