A leading UK multi-disciplinary consultancy is looking to appoint a Health & Safety Manager to work on an exciting project in Cameroon in the industry of power generation, transmission and distribution on a 12 month contract.Responsibilities of this exciting role will include although not be limited to;
• To undertaking HSE reviews and audits, internally and externally to ensure compliance with the Quality Assurance Manual and latest HSE legislation.
• To develop and implement initiatives to raise HSE awareness and culture.
• To lead and manage a number of construction environmental projects.
• Provide HSE data as required for inclusion in the monthly report.
• Attend meetings to aid in the formulation of the portfolio report.
• Support the portfolio and project managers in the setting up and implementing project HSE Plans.
• Provide knowledge transfer to local staff where appropriate.
The successful candidate will have experience of HSE management in the power (Generation, Transmission & Distribution) or oil & gas sector and have working knowledge of ISO9001.
You will be NEBOSH qualified and hold membership of IOSH, ideally at or working towards Chartered status.
Salary: £25000 - £55000
