My client is a multinational packaging company. They have a vacancy in the Business Systems team for a Project Manager. The position will be based in Woodmead and report directly to the Implementation Manager. The incumbent will be required to spend a fair amount of time onsite in Angola.Key responsibilities will include:
· Ensuring that Project Plans are well managed
· Providing continual Project progress feedback via Meetings and PMO, including recommendations where corrective action may be required
· Monitoring the outputs of the reviews conducted regarding Quality and Risk, and ensure that recommendations for corrective action, are acted upon by the relevant Parties
· Escalating issues/risks, relating to the Project, to the Implementation Manager
· Provide input for the completion of PID
· Participate in the selection of resources for the Project
· Registration of project with the PMO
· Planning of the project
· Establishing the project environment and team
· Validating and confirms the delivery timelines and deliverables with the Implementation Manager
· Generating and maintaining the project documentation in line with the PMO procedures
· Responsibility for the delivery of the project milestones
· Managing the project plans, scope, schedule, quality, budget and risks
· Performing resource performance reviews
· Bedding down of project
The ideal candidate should:
· Be able to read, write and speak Portuguese
· Have a relevant qualification in Project Management
· Have at least 2 years experience in managing projects, preferably including an ERP implementation project, ideally a JD Edwards ERP project
· Have experience in working with ERP and optimization methodologies
· Have good communication and presentation skills
