
This is a principal technical role within our clients in-country operations staff. The role is an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team supporting production operations for 2 Complex Fields. Primary responsibilities include technical support for production operations and input to the overall team to optimize productivity and control costs for subsurface, subsea, marine, and surface operations. The position is based in Equatorial Guinea, which is located on the mainland south of the town of Bata. Travel offshore with overnight stay is required. Relief and cross-training in the Houston office is required.
Responsibilities Include:
· Provide technical support to a multi-national, multi-cultural operations team to insure company safety and business targets are achieved.
· Communicate with the Houston technical team to develop well operating guidelines and oversee implementation of and adherence to the guidelines to deliver the production and reserve targets.
· Generate ideas for discussion, approval and implementation that optimize well performance, maximize oil recovery and reduce cost while supporting company safety objectives.
· Troubleshoot well productivity issues with nodal analysis and other well performance data using appropriate industry recognized diagnostic tools.
· Plan and coordinate subsea and surface facility inspections and preventative maintenance programs.
· Plan and coordinate maintenance turnarounds for topsides and subsea facilities.
· Plan and execute expense and capital projects.
· Supervise critical field operations such as subsea or dry tree well interventions. Work can include removal/reinstallation of Framo subsea multiphase pumps and/orsubsea control modules, slickline or electric line work, and/or coiled tubing interventions.
· Assist with development of an appropriate subsea and surface corrosion control program.
· Work and communicate directly with various contractors to insure well or facility equipment is fit for purpose, functions safely and properly and is maintained according to specifications.
· Provide ownership of the process to collect, analyze, document and communicate appropriate production data.
· Provide technical specification content for service and equipment contract implementation.
· Functional member of the in-country emergency response team.
Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years in a similar role. Excellent package and benefits on offer and the camp is based on a beach.
