Projects are carrried out for clients in the oil and gas industry. Main services provided are positioning of vessels & rigs, collection and interpretation of offshore survey data. Operations are executed mainly in frontier areas in Africa under challenging conditions. Fugro Topnav includes offices in Gabon,Congo,Angola,Nigeria, .
The surveyor performs all survey assignements in the office and in the field, as defined by the Project Manager or Operations Manager. The position demands responsability and necessity to set example. Initiative is a pre-requisite in the role of all duties, whether in the lead or supportive role.
Execute positioning and navigation tasks according to survey procedures and client requirements.
Perform computations, data processing, field reporting in accordance with specifications.
Perform appropriate checks of data and computations
Ensure all safety standards are met and followed.
Working closely with the field staff offshore, with the Project Manager on a project basis.
Profil / Compétences:
The candidate we have in mind is flexible, stress resistant, has an accurate work practice and a hands-on mentality.
Technical/engineering degree :B.Sc - Bac +2 - DUT electronique - Mesures Physiques - or military services experiences.
Good spoken and written English.
Be prepared to travel.
Show creativity,motivation,adaptability and innovation.
Be a team player with good communication skills
Ideally European residency
