Procurement Manager - Guinea

The Procurement Manager is accountable for the management of Project Procurement and Sustainable Supply activities from the Pre-feasibility/feasibility to implementation stages for an $8 billion iron ore mine and infrastructure project in Guinea.

Utilising your excellent planning and negotiation skills, the role delivers strong commercially focussed outcomes to the project. In addition, you'll ensure that the owners perspective on procurement requirements is well represented in the execution of local and international contractor supply agreements.

Working 4 weeks on, 2 weeks off rotation you will manage the area budget and deploy business improvement and team initiatives as required. Implementing LEAN initiatives and establishing clear accountabilities and outputs to deliver operational improvements, you will have well developed experience with field procurement and remote area logistics.

Although French language skills would be an advantage, its not essential. Experience developing and implementing procurement systems and procedures in start-up projects, preferably mining related, is required.
