If you have approximately 20 years underground experience in a metalliferous mine, have a tertiary qualification in mining supported by an underground certificate of competency, and have experience in mining methods such as Room & Pillar, Long Hole Retreat Stoping, and Cut and Fill with Secondary Pillar, then this is a position you should be strongly looking at.
Reporting to the General Director Operations you will be responsible for the underground operation where you will manage production, maintenance, safety, as well as manage staff relating to Planning, Geology, Projects, survey, and scheduling. You will have a strong knowledge on reporting and budgeting and be computer literate.
Demonstrated success in achieving production targets, trouble shooting and trackless mining are crucial while experience with copper and the ability to speak French would be held in high regard.
